All of these photos were taken this week at Herrington Country Park, Penshaw. It’s one of my favourite places to walk, no matter the season. It is a beautiful place and one of the largest country parks in Sunderland. With its multiple monuments to local mining history, it’s a great place to see the areas natural beauty and learn about local history.
It was quite a grey day when I took the photos but even then it is still a beautiful place. I really like going there in winter or on a rainy day because the park is quiet then.
There are a few shameless pictures of my dog, Charlie, too because who doesn’t love a good dog picture?
